VERY EASY scarf pattern

easy scarf pattern




This is a simple but effective way to knit a scarf using a basic 2 x 2 rib. Both sides are attractive so it is reversible.
Abbreviations K - knit P - purl YO - yarn over needle P2tog - purl 2 together
You can use any type of yarn

cast on a multiple of 6 stitches (I used 48 sts, and #10 US needles, with a medium weight yarn)
1st row - K2 p2
2 nd and every even row - knit as presented (p2 k2)
row 3 -* k2, YO, P2tog* till end row 5* K2 P2tog,YO* till end

That’s all the pattern!

Knit as long as you like

This is an easy pattern that can be adapted according to your skill. I used worsted weight yarn and US 5 needles. You need just over 50gms of yarn. I also found that knitting them both at the same times ensures that they bout turn out the same ! An easy shawl pattern

I wrote this as i knitted it so if you find any mistakes let me know! The cast on sts are the top of the shawl, the cast off will be the bottom. This is a very basic pattern that you can then embellish - i used an eyelet pattern on random rows.(k2tog YO) The first stitches should not be slipped (as i usually do when knitting) but knitted.
