Fused glass

Saturations I am a true Canadian girl, one that has the need to stay honest to the simple life. I grew up spending summers at our cottage with no running water and no electricity. The only improvement that have been made to that cottage is an old fashioned hand pump that brings ice cold water into the kitchen. I still love to wash dishes by hand. The simple things are what got me to love the idea of saturated colour and light. Above all else I try to listen to the right noise, celebrate anything off the wall and give back all of my creative energy while still having fun.   My addictions to all things creative have driven me to the light. The transparencies of watercolor, the glow of pastel and the brilliance of glass all feed my need to participate in their energies. Mostly self-taught, I am drawn to discover how to move through the dark and light with color.   I have a studio overlooking the Ottawa River, which brings me great joy and inspiration. The ever changing...

Petunia and Ivy

Such beautiful crochet items! Read the bio and check out Jennifer's shop. I am a 31 year old mother to an adorable 4 year old girl. I've been working two jobs and have decided to try my hand at selling my crochet items on etsy to hopefully escape the corporate world. I would love to make this my full time career and be able to work at home and still provide for my family. I began crocheting four years ago and started making just blankets for family and friends. Over the years I've evolved and have made hats, sweaters, appliques and various photo prop items. My friends and family were the drive behind me to create and push me to mew limits. In February I decided to open up shop on Etsy,  www.PetuniaandIvy.etsy.com  . I am thrilled to be in the Etsy world and be able to share my items with all of you

KanalyArts

Now for something Different!  Pottery is something I can just not do so I admire those  who can. Check out Kelli's work HERE My name is Kelli Spackman. My shop, KanalyArts, is after my maiden name which is Kanaly. I was hoping to get a few of my sisters to join me with their arts and crafts but so far no one else has. During the week days I'm a Human Resource Manager for an Engineering company. Evenings and weekends I'm a potter. I've done pottery for years but much more the past few years. I've always just done it for relaxation and just love the process of forming the clay and it gradually turning into something (some good, some not so good). My taste is all over the place. My sister and I tease each other about having pottery attention deficit since we bounce around constantly in our styles and materials. We've taken a few trips to see pottery and attend a few workshops for the fun of it. Before Etsy I'd never sold anything. I occasionally gave pieces ...

Beautiful Hemp Jewelry

Our names are Sarah and Tiff and we started Mistle and Toe , an eco-friendly design store. We are from Ohio and Minnesota respectively and became fast friends when we met in college. We love the creative possibilities and challenges of upcycling things to keep them out of the landfill and still make them beautiful! There seems to be a stigma around re-using goods, and we love the challenge of re-thinking and re-creating them into purposeful things once again. There is always a surplus of stuff, so what's not to create? At Mistle & Toe, you will find recycled fashion, recycled decor, and eco-friendly gifts. We create recycled jewelry, upcycled wall art, and home decor accessories. Mistle & Toe turns old sweaters, grill racks, records, tshirts, picture frames, maps, and milk cartons into amazing finds, such as jewelry racks, record bowls, tshirt scarves, fine art, decorative ornaments, and recycled wallets.
